What happen to DVD movies and CD music guys. Are they dead or they still around?

I still get my favorites in physical form so I can watch them whenever I'm in the mood, but I am watching streaming more and more because of the volume of content.

    Not dead.

Streaming is not an option for many people due to crappy internet service.

And many people prefer to own a physical thing, instead of just being able to access it on some server somewhere.

streaming is lovely......but not everyone wants to watch movies on their computers or devices.

I still buy DVDs........and then trade them with friends, or re-sell them to buy more DVDS.

They are still around, and probably will be for a very long time. Many first world countries, like Finland, subsidize high speed internet, and provide it quite cheaply. Streaming music and video is common. In countries like the US, the internet business is privatized and profit-driven. Most people in rural areas don't have access to anything faster than dial-up, and still pay a fortune for it. Streaming music and video isn't an option for them. There are something like 20 million households in the US who only have internet access via slow satellite providers. DVD, Blu Ray and CD will be around for a long time in countries that are technologically backwards.

They are certainly still around. Not just as collections but items that are still used by many today.

They are still around, because people still buy them
