Should I size up one or two sizes?

Okay, so I don't like skinny jeans. I usually buy like boyfriend style or relaxed fit jeans. Or sometimes I buy tapered jeans so they will still be tight at the ankle, but not throughout the whole leg. I just like to be comfortable, and also I'm 6 ft tall so super skinny pants make me look even taller. So I bought these pants online that didn't really specify the fit, but they looked fine, but they came, and they are pretty skinny. Pretty tight throughout the whole leg, but the waist part fits me perfectly. So I want to exchange them for a bigger size. So my question is, do I size up only one size? Or two? I'm a size 6, so do I get an 8 or a 10? I want a significant change in the tightness of the leg, but I want the waist to basically still be doable, and I have no idea how much bigger a size 10 waist is than a 6. Help, thanks :)

The size of the leg is not going to please you in conjunction to upsizing the waist. Because if a size 6 fits your waist, any size bigger will not fit you and look ill fitting from the crotch up.

You are simply not used to wearing skinny jeans. Perhaps you can wear a longer tunic shirt and just tuck a small piece of the hemline into your pant where the zipper is. That is a very popular look in today's fashion. With a longer shirt, your legs will not make you look taller. Buy the size that fits your body.

In addition to a longer shirt camouflaging your leg length, you could also wear boot socks over your jeans with cute ankle boots. This will give you the illusion of shorter legs as well.

From the length of time you have posted here you are NOT a teen girl so why in the hell is it so hard to go try on jeans and find your fit. No one here knows what brand you are talking about nor how that brand runs fit wise. In many brands of clothing I am a size 2/4 in others I have to go all the way to a 6 for the same fit.

You could always try different sizes in a store fitting room. That's what a sensible person would do.
