Is it right for me to feel this way?

My parents are from tokyo, japan

My uncles, aunts, grandparents too

I have never been to tokyo and do not have any desires to visit

I do not feel that I share their attitudes for buying so much brand names, luxury goods such as purses, cars, etc

I do not share their same taste in luxury clothes, clothing styles

I was born and raised in usa and lived with basic purchases and tastes because my parents were poor

When I hear about tokyo from relatives, I turn away

These relatives visit Tokyo on a regular basis

Is it right how I feel

You shouldn't let your relatives color your entire opinion of a great city like Tokyo. But yeah, apparently 'Crazy Rich Asians' isn't just a book and a movie.

Why would it be right - or wrong, for that matter? You simply feel differently.

If you are a teen or adult, feel free to let them have their own interests, and you have yours.
