My uncles, aunts, grandparents too

I have never been to tokyo and do not have any desires to visit

I do not feel that I share their attitudes for buying so much brand names, luxury goods such as purses, cars, etc

I do not share their same taste in luxury clothes, clothing styles

I was born and raised in usa and lived with basic purchases and tastes because my parents were poor

When I hear about tokyo from relatives, I turn away

These relatives visit Tokyo on a regular basis

Is it right how I feel

I have known my friend for 30 years. Last month, i asked her if it was okay to add her on facebook. She replied and said like to keep facebook private.

I asked her what did she mean ny private. She never responded. I never heard back.

The other day, I asked for her to explain what she meant by wanting to keep facebook private.

She responded with please stop asking about facebook.

It is for her family. She does not post but her family post things.

Why is she so touchy about facebook?

My friend lost her daughter.

Her adult daughter was killed.

Eleven months later, my friend filed a lawsuit against the responsible party.

My friend has not been ill.

She has been keeping herself busy.

The grown up daughter is an unemployed attorney again. She has been unemployed more than once. She is currently on vacation to south america with her boyfriend.

The mother paid for her college degree and law school degrees.

i texted message my friend to tell that i was sick with the flu and asked for her advice about my upcoming x ray appointment.

Got supportive text back.

3 days later, her phone texted me my first text to her but some words were changed.

The text now read that she disliked my first text about being ill with the flu.

I asked her about this by text.

her phone quickly said sorry mistake.

The next day, her phone said she did not write that text using the word dislike

If she did not write that text then who did. It is possible it was her grown up daughter but why would the daugther do such a thing.

I am unhappy about this. I have known my friend for over 26 years.

My phone company said if a text comes from a phone number, it really came from that phone number.

I am friends with this lady of 26 years.

Her grown up daughter sent a rude text message to me from my friend's phone number. It makes it look like the text came from my friend.

Why would the daughter want to be disrespectful to her mom's friend?

Are these good gifts instead of a gift card to whole foods? I felt uncomfortable putting a dollar amount on the gift cards even though she does not need the money.
