It's been a few years since I went to a wedding, but I remember feeling excited for the happy couple. I was extremely happy to see the wedding take place. I didn't do anything weird or different that day. I got up, went to work and from there, went to the wedding. It was a normal day aside from going to a wedding. But, there was a feeling of happiness through the day.

I feel happy to see friends and relatives that I haven't seen in awhile. It is always nice to see the newlyweds celebrating "their" day.
I don't feel angry or sad in any way. Nostalgia can kick in, but that's not a bad thing.

Happy to celebrate the couple - why else would I go??
Your relative might benefit from therapy, work through her anger in more productive ways.

Maybe she was jealous that she wasn't the one getting married.
Attending a wedding is usually a happy occasion.

Sadness at all the time, money and effort that is being wasted on a one day event that has a 50% chance of ending in divorce these days.

It all depends on who you are..everyone takes thing differently. They personally make me feel happy, and I reflect on my own marriage and wedding day.
