So I’m in school full time to have a better future for my kids. So I don’t work as much if I do it’s part time which is nothing with 2 kids?

I feel the mother of my kids will do child support if there’s a decision I don’t agree with and stick to mine she gets mad. She’s makes about $20/hr and I’m barely making 300 every 2 weeks. How would that even be far for the court to take money from my check ?

Update:

im not saying im am not wiling to pay support. im just saying how will i be expected to pay so much in support on $10/hr meanwhile keeping a roof over my head and shes making 20 plus over time. i watch my kids every weekend at her house meanwhile she goes out every weekend and have free time.i go to school and work and watch kids thats my life

Update 2:

HERES THE SCHEDULE

- mon-fri ( their in day care 9-6pm)

- i pick them up from day care thurs. take them friday & pick them up.

- friday- sunday (when every she decides to come home)

so for the most part she does not spend 1 full day with them except the 2-3 hours before they go to bed. and she recetly asked me can i pick them up on her late weekdays she work..I HAVE A LIFE TOO

Your kids are priority. You should be working full-time and going to school part-time. You owe it to your kids and are depriving them of a better lifestyle than what they currently have. It's called being responsible NOW not sometime possible in the unforeseeable future. Sounds to me that you are putting yourself first - that should stop when you have children.

Your desire to get an education to be a better provider for your kids is admirable. That should have been done, however, BEFORE you had kids. Deciding to do it now does not change your responsibility. Going to school AFTER you had kids makes your situation much more difficult but your decision to do so does not release you from the responsibility of supporting your kids.

Child support is based on (both) parents income. Now who is paying for the childcare? My guess is the EX and child care could cost as much or (more) than your paycheck. What about health insurance? My guess is the EX.

Look, you can go to school full time and work full time also, or get 2 PT jobs. I was a single mother and worked 40 hours a week and also went to school full time to get my degree. Now, I was lucky, since my parents took care of my daughter, since I went to school at night vs my EX. I would pick her up around 9 pm and then come home and put her to bed.

Child support is largely dependent on how much each of you has the kids. You CHOOSE to make less money, that's your problem, no one else's.

If your children live with her, you owe child support, so stop the " a better future for my kids" nonsense, yu are their parent you are respnsible to help support them NOW, not when you decide to get your act together "in the future"
