What does the Bible say about cremation?

    The Scriptures do not present any basic objection to the practice of cremation. Whether a dead person is cremated or not, Jehovah is not limited in his ability to restore the person to life with a new body. For example, the three faithful Hebrews who faced death in a fiery furnace as ordered by King Nebuchadnezzar did not need to fear that if they were thus destroyed, God could not resurrect them. (Daniel. 3:16-18) Jehovah does not have to reassemble a person’s former body in order to resurrect him. So, whether the body of a deceased person is to be cremated or not is a personal or family decision. www.jw.org

    The Bible says it's not the body that matters because it will turn back to dust where it first came from, but what matters is the heart and intentions.

    The Bible doesn't mention cremation, but just stop and think about all the people who have lost their lives in fire - or in the watery grave!. When we die, our body becomes a life less "shell" because our spirit has departed and has gone back to Our Creator - Does it really matter what happens to the dead body?. Does it really matter if one is cremated or buried? No! What really matters is our "spirit" - will it go to Heaven or Hell!? And that depends on the individual, Did they live a life of obedience to our Creator. or were they wilfully disobedient? Only Our Creator can be the Judge of all who have lived at the time of Judgement which is coming soon!

    The Bible does not specifically forbid cremation. However the rebuke is implied, and not directly expressed. First of all, we know that God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ spoke about the resurrection of the dead. If the dead will be raised back to life on the Day of Judgment, why would bodies be cremated? On the agenda of many prominent Biblical figures, Abraham died and was buried, the same happened to Jacob, Lazarus, the Lord Jesus too. None of the Biblical men of God were given the message of cremation. When the Messiah died on the Cross, the body was buried and later raised back to life. Surely there was no room for cremation. The Bible says the dead will be raised from the soil (Daniel 12:1-3) on the last day, therefore cremation is evil and anti-Christ.

    cremation = devil worship.

    only blasphemers such as lenin should be burned (according to saint pelageya of ryazan).

    if lenin were to be buried, then china would attack russia (as punishment for polluting the earth with the body of lenin).

    when u cut ur hair, ur hair is supposed to go into the ground.. but if u go to a barber, (s)he will burn it; so, don't go to a barber/hairdresser.

    Ashes to ashes? But I don't believe the Bible specifically references cremation.

    The Bible doesn't say anything about it. The Lord made us from the dust. If I don't see a prohibition about it in the Bible, then it is fine. Where the person will be in the second after death is infinitely more important.

    ------

    The truth is that death leads to immediate heaven or hell, depending only on whether the person believed in Jesus for eternal life, or not.

    The truth is that Jesus loves you and wants to bless your life freely :) Most of all, Jesus wants you with Him forever, and not in hell. The truth is that every belief except one will lead to eternal torment in the lake of fire for every person. Because nothing pays for our sins except the death and blood of Jesus, the sacrifice of Jesus that is already accomplished by Him . Jesus loves you! The truth is that Jesus is God, and Jesus died on the cross to pay for all of our sins in full, and then Jesus resurrected from the dead. Nothing else pays for our sins, not works, not deeds, not religions. So the only way to heaven and to avoid hell, is by believing in Jesus for eternal life (John 6:47), without adding any of your own works (Romans 4:5). Believe in Jesus to take you to heaven, and you will be in heaven, no matter what, guaranteed. That easy, thanks to Jesus! Tell Jesus that you thank Him that you will be with Him in heaven when you die, because you believe in Jesus! It is too late to be saved, after death
