Cyst under armpit?

Ok like 3 weeks ago I noticed a knot under my armpit which is under my skin. It was kind of sore then but not isn’t now,I went to see my doctor and he said it was just a cyst and not to worry and he will keep a eye on it without even running a test on it. But now I’m still worried because he never run any tests on the knot. Has anyone ever had this to happen to them? I am a 40 year old female

If it's a cyst, it should be removed anyway, it won't go away on its own. Once it's removed, it's sent to pathology for analysis. Either go back to that doctor or go to a different one or a dermatologist and say you would like it removed and analysed.

There are no tests to run on cysts and you can pretty much tell what they are by touch, he is right keep an eye on it.

Ask your doctor to condict a test on the cyst then.
