Is creamed coconut this same thing as coconut cream?

    Coconut milk or cream is the liquid you get when you essentially juice the meat of a coconut. The liquid on the inside is called coconut water and it is not the same by any means.

    Creamed Coconut is unsweetened coconut pulp that has been ground to a paste.

    Adding water in a 5:2 ratio is a substitute for Coconut Cream.

    Adding water in a 5:1 ratio is a substitute for Coconut Milk

    I don't think I have ever seen creamed coconut before I might have to look for it.

    So to answer your question NO they are not the same but you can make coconut cream WITH creamed coconut.
