Measuring tool name for measuring car piston valve pocket depth?

I need the name of this measuring tool, it used a gauge , the gauge was able to move up and down to set it up to 1 inch 2 inch or 3inch , then i would put the stick from the gauge on the top of the piston and then drop it to the bottom of the valve pocket to check the difference ??? Help please thank you.

    A dial indicator mounted to a height gauge.
