I have my hands full with my new nonprofit. I need a grant writer but I don't have the $100+ for hourly fees. What are my options?

Contact your local community college and take a course. In grant writing.

There is no such thing as a "grant writer".

You need to write a PROPOSAL.

The folks with the money give you a check.

    Write it yourself.

    It's not rocket science.

Grant writers have a specific skill set and deserve their pay rate. If you can't afford one, then you may need to learn to do the task yourself.

  • Although I appreciate their time and efforts, the cost to hire a grant writer is pretty high. Are there any programs out there that help with funding grant writers that can help with researching and writing grants for nonprofit organizations?
