is Hernia visible if CT scan was done while the intestine was NOT protruding through the hole ?

ie: does the CT scan show the hole in the Greater Omentum, etc ?

Or, does the intestine have to be protruding through the hole during the scan in order for the Hernia to be noticed ?

A Scan shows EVERY muscle and tendon in that area.

not sure but i'd guess that a mild to loosely moderate hernia might be most closely comparable to a pulled muscle. yeah it sucks and hurts as lot but there's probably not a lot to see other than some possible deep tissue busing under pretty specific conditions.
