Hong Kong protestors wave American flags in defiance of Beijing. Should we liberate them?
They've been protesting for months as Beijing has tried to pass a bill making it legal for Hong Kong prisoners to be deported to the mainland, in effect giving Beijing control to jail and deport anyone in Hong Kong for any reason
Should we help them?
Many of them carry pictures of Trump with captions saying "Please liberate us Mr. Trump!"

we could make a deal with china to allow us to buy Hong Kong from them so they can be free but Hong Kong brings in a lot of revenue to china with tourism but with everything that is going on between us it wouldn't happen for a while it would also be wasted money so a better idea would be to make them an independent country.

The US might offer some assistance (legal fees, etc.), but they wouldn't just barge into another country (that they are currently having a trade war with), "help Hong Kong".

LOL. Don't be ridiculous. Hong Kong belongs to China. The USA wouldn't have a hope in hell. Should China liberate California?

We should never have allowed Bejing to take over Hong Kong in the first place. Great Britain should have set it up as an independent nation rather than just letting go of it and saying "Here you go China, its all yours now".

There is no clear and present danger to the US in what the HK protesters are doing. And frankly I think Beijing has been very patient up to now. But as the HK protesters become more violent, it will not be a surprise if the HK police are told to round them all up, with force if necessary.
No we should not help. It's none of our business. And as humanitarian conditions are concerned China is being very patient.

I would gladly nuke each and every communists who hold the Great Nation of China hostage to liberate not only Hong Kong but the whole of mainland China as well. Fortunately, we won't have to, they will be economically broken by Tariffs in a matter of months.

theres nothing we can do there without major consequences .. theyre part of china .. china has allowed them alot more 'freedom' because its the major economic hub of the whole dam world and alot of products that we and everybody else use come directly through or from there ... point being if we messed with it in any way it would cut all that off .. your local walmart would be empty of products lol ..

wonder how long before some people here start calling the American flag a symbol of treason and anti-government hate....
oh wait... they've already done that... haven't they?
