Am I too old for this young man?

Hes 21 im 33. We just met. Hes in the military. He wants an older woman. He held my hand the first day we met. He told me i was beautiful. And he wants to one day get married and he wants it to be me. He seems sweet and caring. Im asking before we get too serious. I told him he has to get his **** together. If he wants to be with any woman. He has a BMW he doesnt have a license and he doesnt have a place of his own yet. But he's working on that. Sounds better than my ex. My ex hated to work and didnt want to better himself and he was40 yr old. He had nothing and wanted nothing.

You’re not too old. He might be too young. It’s not the age difference so much. It’s his youth.

He not only has to get his **** together, he has to get his brain together. His frontal cortex is still under construction. That’s the area responsible for executive function.

You’re dealing with a legal adult but biological adolescent. Give him a few more years before getting “serious” with him.

The age difference isn't the problem sounds like him getting it together is the issue.  Go slow,  You don't have to make a decision right away wait a while and see what happens in the meantime enjoy your time together.  Best of luck 2 u

When a guy says he wants an older woman, he usually means just for sex.  I've done the cougar thing more than once myself, and it was some of the best sex I've ever had.  It might have even been THE best sex I've ever had, and I'm counting all three cougars on that list.

But be warned: Many guys, even younger guys, have learned that telling a girl / woman what she wants to hear is the way to get her to unbutton.  Not kidding, not even exaggerating, it works faster than roofies and liquor for some girls.  I'm just saying that because you might be one of those girls.  I said might be.

You're probably thinking that, because you're older, and because girls mature faster than boys, you're immune to those stupid little boy-tricks.  But remember, girls only mature physically faster than boys.  Mentally and emotionally, it's the other way around.

When I married my wife I was 27 and she was 41. We were married for 29 years before she died from cancer. I think if the two of you really love one another anything is possible. The only advice I would offer is that if the two of you do decide to marry go for premarriage counseling. That way there will be no unexpected expectations that may arise later on between the two of you. Good luck!

Correction:  He wants to BED an older woman. Just be clear going in that a hard dlck is pretty much all he intends (or has) to offer. If you're cool with that, go for it.
