How do I confess my sins back at home? Without a priest?

Yes, you can confess your sins to the Almighty God by prayer, it is not necessary to confess your sins out openly at home, you can only if you choose to. But confessing your sins is not all you need to do. In order to be forgiven of your sins, you need to turn away from them, and work on not returning to them. ( Psalms 43:14; 1Peter 3:11; Proverbs 3:7; Ezekiel 18:23; Job 28:28). Please take the time to look up the Scriptures.

sin is a man-made concept describing an offense against god(s). If gods don't exist then it doesn't matter if you confess to a priest or box of cheerios. If you plot answer to prayer alongside chance, w/o labels you would not know the difference.

Just talk to God in prayer. The Bible says to pray to the Father in Jesus' name. If you have never asked Jesus into your life as Lord and Savior, I urge you to do so. You need to trust only in His finished work on the cross for your salvation and believe that He rose from the dead the third day. Then follow Him as best you can. Please read the New Testament for more information. Start with the Gospel of John; then Romans.

Catholicism is a false works-based religion that leads to hell. Christians are to confess their sins directly to God (1 John 1:9). This deals with fellowship, but confession of sins is NOT a condition for receiving eternal life. The moment you trust in Jesus Christ alone as Savior, ALL of your sins (past, present and future) are forgiven (Acts 10:43).
Because we have all sinned against a perfectly holy and righteous God, we all deserve eternal separation from God in hell (Rom. 6:23). However, God loves us so much that He sent His only Son Jesus to die on the cross as our Substitute so we don't have to go to hell. Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose from the grave three days later (1 Cor. 15:3-4). He gives eternal life freely to anyone who simply believes in Him. No one can be saved by doing good works. Salvation is by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone (Eph. 2:8-9).
"Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life" (John 6:47).

“confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed.” – James 5:16
As you can see the verse says sins must be confessed to another person. Does it say confess straight to God? No it doesn’t. This is the way Christ has established to forgive sins. James was a priest (an apostle) describing how they have to confess to other priests. Honestly I would say you need to move to an area with priests. That’s why Catholics evangelized into all parts of the world so people could have access to the sacraments. Deliberately moving to an area with no Catholic Church and no priests puts you in a bad situation

Pray the Act of Contrition and really mean every word of it.

When Jesus died on the cross, the veil of the temple was torn in half. You no longer need a priest. You can confess directly to God.
