A 1960 or 70’s short film about a toy tin figure that falls down a drain.?

I remember a short film that was shown to at my elementary school in the early 80’s or late 70’s.

It was about a toy tin figure, may have been a toy colonial soldier that is dropped down the drain. The toy figure has a brief adventure with animals & obstacles until he is swallowed by a fish. The fish ends up at the same house where the toy figure was originally at & is discovered when the fish is being cleaned.

I can’t find it online. I’m hoping someone knows the name of the film.

There are literally DOZENS of versions of the famous Hans Christian Andersen tale "The Tin Soldier & The Ballerina" It has been made and remade in countless ways.

Probably one of the best, was the Disney treatment, in one of the segments of Fantasia 2000.

Of all the short segments, it was easily one of the best.

if you haven't seen Fantasia 2000, I would highly recommend it.

The Tin Soldier. Tom loves the tin soldiers his Grandpa gives him, even the one with a missing leg. He plays with them all day, but at night when he’s asleep it’s the toys’ turn to play. The one-legged soldier catches sight of a paper ballerina dancing on one leg and decides to marry her, inspiring jealousy in the jack-in-the-box. When the soldier is left on the window sill one day, the jack-in-the-box blows him off into the street. A long and dangerous journey follows. The tin soldier is placed in a paper boat by two boys, floated along the gutter, swept down a drain and through a stinky sewer into a river where he’s eaten by a fish. Luckily that’s not where the story ends. A man catches the fish and Tom’s Grandpa buys it, discovers the soldier and returns him to Tom.
