Who told Peter to speak Acts 2:38 & say water baptism when Jesus spoke Acts 1:5 & said Holy Spirit baptism? Did he forget (Acts 11:15-16)?
Jesus said in Acts 1:5 "For John truly baptized with what ***BUT*** ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost"
but Peter said "Repent, and be [water] every one of you in the name of the Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost."
Is that what Jesus said?

My grandmother taught me everything i needed to know about religion.
When I graduated high school and was getting ready to go to college, she said, "Im so proud of you. You are my first grandchild to go to college. What can I do for you?"
Now, I know that none of you have ever been, but college is expensive.
So I said, "Thanks grandma, but all I need from you is money."
She showed up as I was packing up to leave for college and said, "Before you leave, take this." And she handed me a brand new bible. King James Version.
I said, "Thanks grandma, thats exactly what we talked about."
Couple of months go by, Im having a good time when the phone rings. Its my grandma. She asks, "How are you doing?"
And I say, "Doing great grandma, but to be honest with you Im running low on money. Could you send me some?"
She said, "Ok. But let me ask you this, have you been reading your bible?"
I said, "Yes, grandma, Im on chaper 4." And she said, "Ok then. Ill talk to you later." And hung up the phone.
A couple of weeks go by and Im starting to struggle when the phone rings. Its my grandma. She asks, "How are things going?"
I say, "Grandma, Im really starting to struggle. Can you please send me some money?" And she says, "Let me ask you this, have you been reading your bible?"
I said, "Yes grandma, I wish it was longer!" And she said ok, and hung up the phone.
A few weeks go by and I have straight A's but Im dropping out of college. When the phone rings. Its my grandma. She says, "Whats wrong? I heard you are dropping out of college? How come.?"
I said, "You know god damn well how come. Because you wouldnt send me any money." And she said, "Let me ask you this, did you read your bible?" And I just hung up the phone. I was so mad.
So Im cleaning my dorm room and the last thing I took out was that bible. So I held it in my hands and opened it up for the first time. And inside that bible on the first page was a note in my grandmothers writhing.
It said, "F*CK YOU!"

All I can say is that we must be reading the whole context of these Scriptures if we are to understand what is going on. We can not pick the Bible apart only looking at one Scripture from the whole context as many on this site do. Sorry, but this is not how we study the Bible.

Peter's "memory problem" (pure fiction), may have been contagious. Perhaps Paul "forgot" (pure fiction) some vital "secret plan of salvation" (pure fiction). We find ourselves wishing for the time returned to us which is wasted in reading about what Peter, et. al. "forgot".

Now, the Bible is a complex book. To truly and deeply understand it, I recommend a person to read it at a snails' pace, and fast whenever they pick up the book to read because God's words are sufficient to sustain both the body and soul. Advanced manuscripts require an exegesis approach.
