Why do movie subscription providers make you wait a certain amount of months to apply again, for another go if you cancel your subscription?

Places that provide movie subscription services like MoviePass, Sinemia, AMC Theatres, Cinemark, and Regal. I know it is something that is done to make sure people really want to use their service, but for example, if you sign up for monthly price of movies, it saves you money. If you cancel it, MoviePass will make you wait nine months before you can apply again. AMC will make you wait six months and the same with Regal. I never would want to cancel my subscription, I have been an AMC Stubs A-List for almost a full year.

    Free trials, have to stop.

I think it should be unlawful to require a Credit Card for a "Free" trial,

Cancelling can be a pain too. One gives a one week free trial, but you must cancel before the trial ends or they automatically enroll and bill.

They Don't make it easy, another requires the cancellation days, BEFORE, the free trial ends.

Seems to me, if the person does not sign up the service should just be turned off.
