I don't recall that I "showed off" (whatever that means). He was single (divorced). I was single (never married). He was 52. I was 22. We lived together for 10 years. I wanted a future that included children. He already had children, and they were older than me. We finally both decided to move forward.

I have never regretted the relationship.
