It is said that PAPAYA is helpful for DIABETES people. However, there is also a saying that PAPAYA is too SWEET for them. Please comment.?

Update:

- Are both of the above sayings true?

- If so, should people with diabetes eat papaya to help controlling the disease(blood sugar level)?

Grateful if you would help to solve my query. Thank you!

Sweet isn’t a bad thing. Stevia is way sweeter than sugar but it’s good for diabetics because it doesn’t raise the glycemic level. Raspberries can be sweet but the fiber content it provides makes it a good snack.

Papaya offers a good amount of soluble fiber which helps to slow down the release of sugar into the blood. It also contains antioxidants that helps to protect the heart.
