I wish. We can respawn anytime we like.

Yes it is. We all respawn in the place we slept last, meaning we all respawn in  your mother's bed.

In a fictional world like a video game, players have the ability to respawn, but not in the real world; you only have one life.  Once you lose it, there is no second chance.

    nope, we can't respawn.

    unless we're a cat..

not really in a game you have mutiple lives or so and in real life you have one good life thats valuable. although its the same because they do both have similar ways to die

With one very important difference here my friend if you kill something in a video game when you play the video game again they resurrect so that you can play the video game again! In real life when somebody dies they're dead forever and you have deprived somebody of a father or a mother.
