What are some tips when trying to have an adult conversation with a narcissistic asshole?

My boyfriend alcoholic narcissistic brother said we need to have "a talk" (he knows I don't like him)

Update 2:

Idk if he's actually being sincere and wants to have a talk or if this is just something he feels he needs to have control over

    it is not possible to have a rational conversation with an irrational person.

    I don't bother. If I find myself in a conversation with one for whatever reason I just go along with it until it is over. While they are going on about themselves and the fantasies they create, I just space out.
