How are there so many whole rotisserie chickens that weigh  the exact same?

You go to a grocery store and all the whole chickens from the company that sells him weigh the exact same. What are the odds? Are there things that get done to the chicken to account for differences in weight so that they can all be equal?

They don't all weigh the same, but since the stores sell them for the same price (rotis chickens are usually the same price for all of them, unless they also have 'family size' which will then be a 2nd price point for all 'family size' chickens) all that is guaranteed is the minimum weight. The rotis chickens will all weigh AT LEAST "X" pounds and/or ounces. Remember, since they can pump them full of water as needed, it's not difficult to ensure they all meet that minimum weight requirement.

They are said to be at least that weight. Weight varies.
