I am in a relationship with someone great but, think about being with someone else?

8 months in with my boyfriend. He is great, very few hiccups. However, I received someone's number over the weekend whom I went to high school with. We have a lot more in common than my current boyfriend and its giving me interest. Why am I feeling so strongly this way? What should I do?

People in long term, permanent relationships almost all have other relationships in their pasts that didn't work out. Dating is like trying on shoes to find the best fit and no one is obliged to buy a pair that isn't what they want. So if after a brief eight months you've already decided you can't see yourself in these shoes for life you need to go sample a few more pairs. You're not supposed to marry everyone you date.

If your boyfriend is great, stick to him.

And meet your friend in secret.

It's not like you have to choose only one.

If you're mature enough to date, you're mature enough to decide WHOM to date.

No clue why you're asking strangers to make this decision for you.
