When it comes down to it- no one knows a thimble full worth of dinosaurs! It is 99.9% guess work by all the experts (ex a prefix meaning former, spert a drip under pressure)

A paleontologist is a scientist who studies the forms of life that existed in former geologic periods, chiefly by studying fossils. That would include dinosaurs.
