Why is the sign of the cross on the death mask of King Tut? The cross was the symbol of the pagan Egyptian sun god!?

He died some 1000 years before Christ and was an Egyptian, the book Egyptian Religion, Siegfried Morenz notes: “The trinity was a major preoccupation of Egyptian theologians. Three gods are combined and treated as a single being, addressed in the singular. In this way the spiritual force of Egyptian religion shows a direct link with Christian theology.” We know that the Egyptian reincarnation belief is a pagan belief!

Thus, in Alexandria, Egypt, churchmen of the late third and early fourth centuries, such as Athanasius, reflected this influence as they formulated ideas that led to the Trinity. Their own influence spread, so that Morenz considers “Alexandrian theology as the intermediary between the Egyptian religious heritage and Christianity.

Notice that men “Not God’s word formulated the idea that let to the trinity;” “Egypt, churchmen of the late third and early fourth centuries, such as Athanasius, reflected this influence as they formulated ideas that led to the Trinity”.

Jesus himself said at John 12:50) “And I know that his commandment means everlasting life. So whatever I speak, I speak just as the Father has told me.”

Historian Will Durant observed: “Christianity did not destroy paganism; it adopted it. From Egypt came the ideas of a divine trinity.” In the preface to Edward Gibbon’s History of Christianity, we read: “If Paganism was conquered by Christianity, it is equally true that Christianity was corrupted by Paganism.

Update:

Awe, where did all those that worship the cross go, they scurried in their little holes and nervously peek out to see if anyone has noticed! What gets me is that others that they have given their false answers wonder the same thing! Your absence and silence speaks so loud what you have given in defense of your belief are questioned by those who want to know!

Update 2:

Does anyone see the elephant in the room?

Update 3:

I'm amazed that anyone that worships the cross and has the truth about its origin thinks that atheist or agnostics will ever be convinced in any Christian beliefs! Especially since Christians can't even defend their belief!

Another reason why 99% of those that claim to be Christian ignore this question is because they have no answer period! The cross is a major part of their worship, they make the sign of the cross on their chest with everything regarding their religion! They even use it as a sign of truth and to admit it was way before Christ shatters their moral compass! Their parent's parents have believed in the cross as a symbol of Christ's death for their sins! And the structure of belief crumbles, immortal soul, hellfire, heavenly reward, and easter comes into question!

They are afraid to admit that they have been deceived when in truth everyone has been warned in scripture that false teachers would be teaching false stories! We are told this at 2 Timothy 4:3-4) 3 For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own likings, 4 and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander into myths.

The scriptures even show how this happens, 2 Corinthians 4:4) In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the likeness of God.

The scriptures even show us who controls this world! 1John 5:19) We know that we are of God, and the whole world is in the power of the evil one. Luke 4:5-6) 5 And the devil took him up, and showed him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time, 6 and said to him, "To you I will give all this authority and their glory; for it has been delivered to me, and I give it to whom I will.

Matt 13:19) When any one hears the word of the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what is sown in his heart; this is what was sown along the path.

And the scriptures show us what will happen to this wicked one!

    John 12:31) Now is the judgment of this world, now shall the ruler of this world be cast out;

Fear for our loved ones that have fallen asleep in death keeps people hanging on to their being in heaven. The scriptures tell us this!

(Romans 2:13- ) 13 For it is not the hearers of the law who are righteous before God, but the doers of the law who will be justified. 14 When Gentiles who have not the law do by nature what the law requires, they are a law to themselves, even though they do not have the law. 15 They show that what the law requires is written on their hearts, while their conscience also bears witness and their conflicting thoughts accuse or perhaps excuse them 16 on that day when, according to my gospel, God judges the secrets of men by Christ Jesus.

So those that have died where are they if they are not in heaven or a burning hell? Eccl 9:5-6) 5 For the living know that they will die, but the dead know nothing, and they have no more reward; but the memory of them is lost. 6 Their love and their hate and their envy have already perished, and they have no more for ever any share in all that is done under the sun.

How did Jesus view the dead, this is expressed by Martha when she answered Jesus at John 11:24) Martha said to him, "I know that he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day."

Martha knew her brother wouldn't be resurrected until the resurrection of the last day, what does the bible say about this resurrection! (Acts 24:15) having a hope in God which these themselves accept, that there will be a resurrection of both the just and the unjust.

Some bibles say righteous and unrighteous; the bad and the good; the evil and the good!

The scriptures say nothing of a soul that leaves the body, it says just the opposite!

Ezekiel 18:4) Behold, all souls are mine; the soul of the father as well as the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sins shall die.

Because of the clergy, people get confused and what is said in Matthew comes to bear! Matt 13:19) When any one hears the word of the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what is sown in his heart; this is what was sown along the path. As 2 Co 4:4 states, Satan blinds their minds, we shouldn't be surprised, look at what Satan did with Eve, Eve was perfect yet Satan deceived her! We are no match when it comes to Satan who the scriptures indicate was the second created some millions- billions of years ago!

So what can we do, we need to approach our faith with an open mind and a meek and humble attitude! By doing this 1 Corinthians 3:6 will make sense to us. (1 C0 3:6) I planted, Apol'los watered, but God gave the growth.

Yes, it is our creator that gives us understanding but first, we need to have an open heart!

Now back to this question, it is evident that the sign of the cross was way before Christ walked this earth, those that are just towards God and want to know the truth will examine just where and when this pagan symbol was indoctrinated in the Christian faith!

The book The Non-Christian Cross, by John Denham Parsons, states: “There is not a single sentence in any of the numerous writings forming the New Testament, which, in the original Greek, bears even indirect evidence to the effect that the stauros used in the case of Jesus was other than an ordinary stauros; much less to the effect that it consisted, not of one piece of timber, but of two pieces nailed together in the form of a cross.. it is not a little misleading upon the part of our teachers to translate the word stauros as ‘cross’ when rendering the Greek documents of the Church into our native tongue, and to support that action by putting ‘cross’ in our lexicons as the meaning of stauros without carefully explaining that that was at any rate not the primary meaning of the word in the days of the Apostles, did not become its primary signification till long afterwards, and became so then, if at all, only because, despite the absence of corroborative evidence, it was for some reason or other assumed that the particular stauros upon which Jesus was executed had that particular shape.”—London, 1896, pp. 23, 24.

Those that stubbornly reject the truth are known as goats in the scriptures) Goats were used to illustrate undesirable qualities and wicked persons (Mt 25:33)  and he will place the sheep at his right hand, but the goats at the left.
