will you be celebrating valentines day this year or are you over it?

I never celebrate Valentine's Day because I am single and asexual so have no desire for romance at all. I just which I still had a father that loved me. At least my Mom came back after some time.

We usually observe it with traditional flowers, a card, dinner out, maybe a small thoughtful gift.  Nothing ever over the top as I feel it's more about showing someone you love them than buying them an expensive gift.  But this year it coincides with my son's 21st birthday weekend, so we're taking him on a little trip to celebrate <3

I consider Valentine's Day to be an appalling attempt to legitimise stalking and heteronormativity. The last time I sent a card in earnest was 1989.

I will be celebrating

Most times I send a card to both of my adult children  and their families, or just call them to hear their voice's which makes it even better.  good question.
