    You stop trying to move past it and learn how to deal\cope with it without letting it affect your future relationship decisions. Fake it until you make it.

    Sorry if this sounds like I don't care, but .....

    You move past it by moving past it .. instead of going on and on about it.

    The longer you 'wallow in self pity' the longer it will take for you to move on.
