Can I charge my iPhone with my MacBook charger?

Hello my iPhone 7 plus cable is broken i also have a spare MacBook air 2013 charger which is fine. my dad has a soldering iron in the garage and i was wonder if i could cut off the tip of the MacBook charger and solder the charger bit from my iPhone charger to the MacBook one. thanks

    You would have to be sure that the voltage and current is the same from both of them or you will ruin the phone. If you aren't sure it would be much better to buy a new charger.

    no. even different versions of iPhone can have different chargers. you MUST use one compatible with your model...

    you can't effectively do this. replacement iPhone 7 cable is under $5
