If batmans parents are dead then how was he born?

This doesnt make any sense like they really didnt think this thru, i mean they couldnt have made a child while dead.

    They were murdered, right in front of his eyes, when he was about 10. 

    Shot to death in an alley........presumably by the Joker, before he was the Joker....in some tellings of the story.

    You not see full story. His parents killed when he is small child.
