Finely dice up some jalapenos after you remove the seeds and add them to your salsa.

Buy come ancho chilies in adobo sauce and add a bit at a time until it's spicy enough.

Add hot sauce to taste or cayenne or chili spices. You do not necessarily need a hot pepper.

Get some fresh spicy peppers, what ever your spice level is, you can go from jalapeno which is mild to california reaper which is deadly, and dice your pepper up and add to your salsa. If you want it even hotter, add the white ribbing inside the pepper, that holds a lot of heat.

Add hot peppers, including the seeds and or ribs will increase the heat.

Jalapeno peppers can go from mild to hot depending on the pepper.  So get a few and taste them. But you can use an hot pepper you want.

I saw a comment that you are boiling the peppers. Most salsas are raw but there are some that have roasted peppers, roasted onions and often roasted tomatillos and or roasted tomatoes.

Both raw and cooked salsas are common and both good.
