Atheists: If you are already moralistic and do good works, why not believe in God and be saved to live on the earth made new.  Wouldn't?

you like to live without having to get up and go to work from 9-5 and have to worry about bills, bills, bills, where there are no diseases, wars, sickness, murders, rapes, etc, etc. You work all year and save just to take a little vacation somewhere so you can relax and enjoy yourself a little, when you can relax and enjoy life all year round and the best part you don't have to pay for it.  Be honest, wouldn't you like a lifelike that?

Some Christians are always telling you about burning in hell and think that's suppose to make you become God fearing, the truth is God doesn't want anyone to go to hell, he prefers everyone to be either in heaven or on earth and be happy.

Update:

Thank you all for answering, but a simple 'NO THANK YOU' WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER THAN YOUR INSULTS.  Never let it be said that you were never asked in a nice way.

I got my money on common sense and seem to win more that way .

I went thru a 40 year phase of Christianity and assessed it was a myth

but you're  welcome to your own journey ..

You know they say you can't win if you don't play but it works better if you gamble that you won't  lose if you don't play . That probably won't hit home to you like it does me but it might in 40 years or so .

Why should he get the credit for our good works ? We don't need him, why lie for his behalf.

Because there's no evidence that deities exist. Why would we worship something that doesn't exist?

that's some weak sauce Gloria. "it sounds nice" - I don't believe that's convincing for you, let alone anyone else.

Why are you so needy? We are under no obligation to adopt your superstitious, wishful thinking in order to help you feel more secure in your fragile faith.

It always makes me shake my head when someone asks, "Why not believe in god?" As if an atheist will do a face-palm and all of a sudden exclaim, "Oh, what was I thinking?" It is ridiculous and naïve of you to ask such a question. Many atheists like me DID believe in god and were raised as Christians, but through independent, introspective and logical thought, we have concluded that god(s) do not exist. Neither do demons or heaven or hell. Arriving at that conclusion is a conscious process and there is absolutely no turning back. Asking questions like this make you look stupid.

Can I make you believe in leprechauns because there might be a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow? No, you say? Why not?

I do not want any part of questions that harbor, and try to

camouflage, this asker's subjective and patronizing rant.

I believe and disbelieve whatever I choose to, and my

decisions do not require qualification or validation.

    They *are* my own.

Because I value truth and honesty, and so, I cannot lie to others and I will not try to lie to myself.

Your claimed deity doesn't exist: Deal with it.
