Why do Indians calculate Kali Yuga as being 3102+2020=5122 years when there is no year 0 in BC (where Kali Yuga started, such as 3102 BC)?

Isn't 3102 BC+2020 AD=5121 years?Or how does the Kali Yuga calendar works?

    If 3102 BC is their year 1, then 1 BC is their year 3102, and the 2020th year after that is 3102 + 2020 = 5122.

    The Years BC are just an estimate

    After all, one guy couldn't have said to the other in 2, 000 BC that I cant wait till next Year, 1, 999 !!

    Or in 2000 year from now Jesus would be born and they would begin counting time from then

     They went by the Seasons and the Phases of the Moon

     Or maybe from the Death of an important King

    It is their Religion and they are welcome to it
