Why couldn't the Democrats come up with a more promising candidate?

Some were asking that of the GOP in 2016. But US politics for the most part seems to operate on a seniority basis, i.e. you hang around long enough and eventually you'll get the nod. This process of putting the oldest and sickest in charge is part of what doomed the USSR. We do occasionally see an upstart disruptor, Obama and Trump somewhat serving that role. But Biden's the guy whose name everyone knows (even if he may not remember it himself).

Joe Biden is the best candidate.  We`ve known and accepted that a long time ago.  He`s going to "beat him like a drum".  The fake dirt you`ve come up with so far has been pathetically weak.  How are Republicans going to match African Amricans, Hispanic Americans, and most of our young people (Millennials).  

Right! Out of all the candidates applying for the job, the DNC picks another loser. Get ready for a 2nd Trump term.
