How long does a person last living on a breathing machine.?

My gf has to sleep with a breathing machine because it stops the snoring and also sometimes she stops breathing in her sleep.

    It depends on what is causing her sleep apnea. There are 3 different types of sleep apnea.  1. Obstructive Sleep Apnea or OSA (tongue falls back against pharynx during sleep).  2.  Central Sleep Apnea (brain disorder).  3.  Mixed Sleep Apnea (combination of OSA and Central Sleep Apnea).

    A lot longer than dying from sleep apnea. There shouldn't be any limit as to how long she can use it. They need to be cleaned, but that's not hard.

    it's called a CPAP machine and it's to help you breathe
