anime series/movie where a main character becomes a god?
They were playing it at the drs office and I kinda got into it and now I forgot a lot about it but the characters weren't exactly human I don't think and this guy suddenly became a god in order to save his people. It had to be on netflix or hulu or something like that. I know I did look it up and find out the name but I have forgotten and I remember it was a limited series plus it had a movie. I think it was the movie we were watching.
they were on a quest for a substance that would save their people and the mc had a teenage daughter who was in love with this other guy and one of the creatures was purple and not human.
Also the main character looked way too young to have a teenage daughter. He had a wife. I think his name started with a N or an H (not narrato)
I want to say it was made sometime between 2009-2017 so a more recent anime not classic.

I don't know it, but a simple search reveals a set of youtube videos listing anime where the main character is a god or has the power of a god. You could try watching those lists to see if yours is on there.
