What gains have been made by women’s equality movements?

Women as a whole have more independence, more choices in life, higher representation in government, less discrimination in a workplace or business activity, and as a general statement, more respect.

This was not possible in past times, especially considering her life partner.

Despite objection from some Conservatives resisting societal change, I think equality among gender and self identity, race, ethnicity, religion choices, sexual preferences is worthwhile as a goal.

Gains made for women's equality...

The right to vote.

Only time will tell if it was actually a good choice for the good of society.

Women's -equality- movements in the strictest terms of the phrase is First Wave Feminism ONLY, with a small sample of Second Wave (at the very beginning).

 Every other "feminism" including (especially) our modern incarnation is promoting social change towards a cultural Marxist vision of society, using critical theory right from the Frankfurt school as it's social engineering method for radical social change.
