I have a theory! You need to be an Ophthalmologist to explain exactly why you get butterflies. The Sun's ultraviolet rays falling on the exposed eyes creates a somewhat chemical reaction that changes your vision for a few seconds.Try an experiment: close your eyes and began rubbing your eyelids several times. You will see white flashes of light. Somehow, the white flashes of light is from action on the optic nerve. The white flashes are called phosphene. Shine a light at night on animal eyes and you see the white, illuminated eyeball. Another example of this phenomenon is how the UV rays of the Sun striking human skin for 15 minutes converts a chemical in the skin to Vitamin D. Children in northern countries like Norway, Iceland, Finland use  UV rays emitted from special light bulbs to cause the same reaction on the skin to make Vitamin D.

uneasiness when looking at the sky could be a fwar of open spaces, or of outer space. it really depends on what specifically makes you uneasy. try to pin that down.
