Is Ultimate Medical Academy legit?

Is this school accredited? I am looking to get into school and they offer online rn courses but in person clinicals. I have never heard of this school and do not want to be scammed once its time to find employment.

The school is *only* nationally accredited, rather than the preferred regional accreditation for a school or learning institution.  They're also a for-profit school.  Therefore, their course credits usually do *not* transfer to other schools, even if the for-profit school is regionally accredited.  Those for-profit schools may also be more focused on "making a profit," rather than quality of education.  In addition, future employers and/or colleges or universities may *not* view a for-profit school to be so credible.

Just as someone else mentioned, they don't offer RN anyway.  Please consider the more affordable (and usually more reputable) local community college and/or the state-public university.  Please also make sure that the nursing program is approved by the "State" Board of Nursing (BON) too.

Please keep doing your research and due diligence before taking pre-req classes and/or signing up for a certain program, including doing some "job shadowing" (with prior staff approval).

This is not a regional accredited school.

    https://www.bbb.org/us/fl/tampa/profile/nursing-sc...

Reading through complaints it seems many are for student who were registered without their permission. They filled out an online form for info and the school enrolled them,

Read carefully, read all of them. Make your own conclusions.

Do not give out your ssn.

It is an accredited, for-profit institution. It does NOT offer nursing courses.

It is NOT a regionally accredited academic institution. Credits from this institution will not be transferable to a regionally accredited academic institution or any other institution of learning should you ever choose to further your education.

You are paying a private company for services. You take a risk that the certification from this company will help you get a job. Your choice.
