It would be super awkward at first! But you've got to consider your son's feelings in this situation and put him first. If he has a chance to make a connection and have two moms/roll models then that's awesome for him. Think about how destructive and traumatic it was for his home to be broken up when his parents divorced.
Swallow your pride and allow your son to put the pieces together to create a new, wider circle of people who love him.
