Since 2016,the Dems. have called for the Electoral College to be eliminated until recent polls claim that Biden will beat Trump?

The EC is in the U.S. Constitution and is supposed to be independent of the popular vote and would require a change to the Constitution by the people.

Update:

Congress can also refuse to certify the election and then it will be up to them to elect the next President and Vice President.

You are half right, Democrats want to eliminate the flawed electoral. FYI, there is something else established in the Constitution that Republicans are apparently ok with getting rid of, the Post Office.

The Postal Service is an independent agency, but it is still the responsibility of Congress, therefore it cannot be privatized and Congress won't take action to allow the service make the changes it needs.

It is also the only mail service allowed to operate constitutionally in the U.S.

So isn't the post office, but wingnuts want to get rid of it because they are afraid trump will be trumped if people can vote.
