Can I go to jail for not paying hospital bills?

    Not directly as such per se. They have a way of getting around principles. Be careful.

    In the US, you can't be criminally charged for not being able to pay any debts.

    You CAN face criminal charges for accepting services with no intention of paying.

    The ONLY medical services providers are required to provide without a guarantee of payment are emergency services, as in care necessary to keep you from dying NOW.

    It is possible but not for not paying the hospital bill. If you do not pay and the hospital take you to court and receives a judgement against you and then if you still do not pay you could be jailed for contempt of court.

    No, but your credit will be ruined, and you might have to file for bankruptcy.

    Many hospitals will work with patients who have financial problems and either lower the bill or come up with a payment plan or both.

    No.  In the US you cannot be imprisoned for debt with the possible exception of back due child support.
