What do you think of the new Yahoo "no comment" policy where new items are concerned? Why have they done this now?
Back when i could read or make a comment on some news item, I felt more a part of the news articles. I also learned several associated bits from what other people had written. The combination gave me an informed, well-balanced view of the news item, so I could discuss it.Do you miss it? Do you prefer Answers for a dscussion forum?

I've been with Yahoo for many years, and I am beyond disgusted with this Verizon biased now owned company. The First Amendment is being suppressed, and reporting news, whether factual or not these days, yet not allowing responses, feedback, or factual rebuttals is a suppression of that 1st Amendment. You are disallowing that freedom, and worse than that, you are disabling people from learning from one another's perspective life views.
Shame on you Yahoo, as you are a contributor in this worlds indifferences, as you can only see what you want, and that is what causes people to become close minded.

Yahoo favors the commie dems so they have done what the dems have told them to do. Suppress any opinion that is not the same as their own. Trying to get rid of free speech in this country. WTG Yahoo!

Good question, Deep. I do miss being able to make comments on people's (or Russian troll farm bots') answers. Like you, I enjoy reading what others say in response to a question and then engaging in verbal swordplay, a.k.a., putting my "two cents in" as the old saying goes. Maybe if enough of us Yahoo! Answers loyalists lobby for a return to the older format, Yahoo folks will comply.

Comments have been stopped because of the election. I think it is loss because comments can improve on an answer or correct errors.

Comment has been suspended because of the elections. No great loss.
