  • OMG, how do we change the speaker of the House?

This McConnell is ancient and definitely NOT in touch with modern family situations. How many families do you know that make $250,000 a year??

  • Who should have that much power?

Should a new office be added to our government (Dictator? Emperor?) for Senator McConnell?

  • Which filthy rich group will decide your future? Do you care?

The following quote is about the McConnell Minions vs. Patriotic Millionaires. Which do you think will win? How will they do it? Finally, which do you support?

"“Imagine a family of five where the parents earn $250,000 per year and have not seen any income loss this past year. Speaker Pelosi and Senator Sanders want to send them $5,000 from Uncle Sam," McConnell said."

  • News Administration is off to a GR8 Start (smirk)?

[“I think everybody is encouraged that there is a real framework here that everybody agrees on and there’s a few issues that are still the sticking points," Treasury Secretary Steven Muchin told reporters Wednesday. “The two biggest issues are the money for state and local governments and liability protections. If we can’t resolve those, we can move forward on everything else. I don’t want to tell a bunch of small businesses that they can’t get (paycheck protection) loans.”]

Sorry, nope, is not as good as each person getting some extra money to be able to ship something to each other, since we all will be on lock-down by Christmas and New Years. To be honest and transparent, the first stimulus loans really did not benefit small businesses. The government spent more money retrieving money they erroneously granted to various big businesses instead of small and.or family businesses.

Any thoughts out there? Should there be another round of stimulus checks for voters?

It might get more people to the polls in 2024.

  • Is this true?

    Leslie Odom said:

"He reminds viewers that the votes we’re waiting for are coming from grandparents with COVID-19, members of the military stationed overseas, teachers, neighbors and friends."

    Well, Mr. Odom,

I am of the grand-aunt age, and yet I do not have COVID-19.

Some of us survived many a childhood illness,(like scarlet fever) and plan to have a long life.

Never-the-less, I will be patient...;-)  (A bit of levity to pass the time)

  • How can Mitch McConnell still hold office with brain cancer?

"Democrats funneled tens of millions of dollars to former fighter pilot Amy McGrath in an attempt to oust the Senate majority leader, but Sen. Mitch McConnell was successful in retaining the seat he first won in 1984."

Since Senators require a rational and sound mind for their judgement of the law, how can Mitch McConnell hold office? Maybe I recall it wrong, but I thought he had brain cancer.

  • Does anyone know a non-profit fund for the Dying Elephants?

    I just read this:

"as of last week, more than 200 elephants -- along with many other animals -- have already perished in national parks over the past two months due to a lack of food and water."

This is in addition to the 330+ elephants they found in Africa that they blamed biological agent, this is terrible. This is in addition to the illegal hunting and poaching. Does anyone know of a reputable donation organization which has the majority of their donations (50%+) go just to the elephants?

  • Could bedbugs have something to do with Coronavirus-19 ?

It is no secret to anyone who lives in an apartment that bedbugs are a major problem. Once someone moves in, if they are moving from an apartment, or had their items in storage, they bring bedbugs with them. These bugs are a plague, which lives in practically any piece of furniture or clothing. They dig into carpet, and are impossible to eradicate once you have them.

This has been for the last 5-6 years, so it is hard to understand how they might be related.

Still I notice the families in apartments seem to be less healthy, in school and at work. So is there any studies or literature about the possible correlation between these two things?

  • How do you make a claim for a furlough time period in Texas, due to the coronavirus?

Do you make a claim to the state? All I know is I have a friend who has had a paycheck for 3 out of every 4 weeks, since March 2020. It has been 6 paychecks he has missed, and he thinks he can file for them all at once, but then, maybe he needs to file for each one separately.

Neither of us know which form he needs to fill out, or where to begin.

Has anyone got any idea what website to use? This is all s complicated.

Has anyone already filed while on this type of furlough?

Who do we call to ask?

  • What do you think of the new Yahoo "no comment" policy where new items are concerned? Why have they done this now?

Back when i could read or make a comment on some news item, I felt more a part of the news articles. I also learned several associated bits from what other people had written. The combination gave me an informed, well-balanced view of the news item, so I could discuss it.Do you miss it? Do you prefer Answers for a dscussion forum?

  • Any suggestions for memorial music?

This is to honor my mom, who loved all the family, and died at 91 yrs. Since I am 62 and have two late sisters, I thought to make it an occasion to celebrate mom and their two lives. I'm not really familiar with songs from the 90s to current times. I heard a song on a TV show, but though my google fu is strong, I can't find the person or the song lyrics.

So I thought I would throw this out and ask for song suggestions, preferably those songs which are not the constant suggestions from the past. Please nothing from a choir book either. I got their favorites from there already. Anything newer than "The Rose" or "Bridge over troubled water" would be great. I don't have any hip-hop, and anything from those gendres.

Thanks for all suggestions, whether I use them or not, I might make a lst.

The older I get, the more these types of questions come up.

  • Anyone watch Rizzoli and Isles?

I caught part of  song at the very end of an episode today on Lifetime Channel.

It would make an interesting song to a memorial, (planning my own), but I didn't have a chance to see who it was or the name of the song. There were references to dying only when you are done in your life. I'm not dying or anything, and I am not familiar with the music gendre. It rhymed somewhat, but did not have a heavy loud downbeat like much of the music I know to be hip-hop.

Any suggestions for me to check out?

  • Would you go to the dentist during this in Texas?

Some people, like myself, have tooth pains and need a dentist.

Still the most invasive area to me is the mouth, the place most likely to be a new home for a virus.

  • Final Days?

Pandemic. Murder Hornets. Groups stating how life matters.

Most religions have a description of the end of humanity, where neighbor will turn against neighbor, and the Earth will be ravaged by a plague. Some would consider the pandemic a plague. There are also waves of animals, (Elephants, and many others) dying without explanation or reason. So do you think we are in the final days of human life?
