Writing a resume summary. What should I put in place of the **BLANK**? ?

Dependable manager with 9+ years in retail management and customer service. Eager to learn new skills and effectively apply them to **BLANK** . Actively seeks out opportunities to go beyond the basics, improve processes and increase productivity.

    It should be specific to the job or company you're applying to.

    That summary is extremely generic.  Use action works and results.  Everyone is dependable and eager to learn when applying for a job.

    Your summary is what an employer is looking for with an entry level employee.

    Not a manager.

    - I want a manager who is dependable but I don't think anyone who has been in the field 10 years would be there if they aren't... thus, you don't want to open with that.

    - Eager to learn new skills makes it seem like I need to train you.  If I wanted to do that I'd promote from within. 

    Successful manger with 10 years in retail management and customer service.  Experienced in increasing productivity, improving processes, and leading teams.  

    - if you have any specific accomplishments that you would like to include, here is a good place.
