should you know about your partner's anatomy before having sex?
many of my friends that are girls have boyfriends who they have sex with and yet the boyfriend still thinks
1. pee comes out of your birth canal
2.you can stop your period at any time you want
3. putting a tampon inside feels good and can cause an orgasm
4. a pad gets stuck
sure we can take lack of sex ed into the equation but these men are in their twenties and at some point it just because disrespectful to me that you aren't willing to learn basic facts about the opposite gender's anatomy because yet you have sex with them bc it's not important or you feel you shouldn't have to. i feel this mindset can actually explain the lack of empathy men have towards women when it comes to their health and well being and perhaps more knowledge would allow them to understand what we go through is justified.
and before anyone hops on my dick, i think it's important people know about the male anatomy as well but 1. it isn't as complex (the genital area at least) as the woman's and 2. men don't have issues getting the help they need for their genital area (ex: you can get condoms just about everywhere at a decent price, ed medicine is readily available, there's no consultation or shame or riots with a vasectomy and refusing to take care of child and the woman is to blame when a man can't orgasm)
@Bill, I thought i made it very clear I was a woman. My name is not Jake. (Your real name isn't Bill is it?) Clearly no man would ever care this much about it, that's why I was asking. I don't know where you're from but sex ed literally is split between boys and girls are you are briefly taught on anything past a girl will bleed every month so she can have children, and that normally happens in elementary school so please excuse 25 year old men for not listening when they were 10

An adult man in the age of libraries and the internet has no excuse for not knowing how the female body works. A man who doesn't is a man who simply doesn't care enough to have educated himself as an adult, if his formal education and his parents didn't get the job done. A woman considering having sex with a guy like this can count on him being all about his own pleasure and pretty clueless about the location or existence of the clitoris, much less how to stimulate it.
A man who doesn't know female anatomy is willfully ignorant, and that's a hard no from a whole lot of women--as it should be.

I've always wondered if the first few (maybe even later in life) hurts for girls because the boy just rams it in there without warming her up at all. Neither party knowing anything about that. One of the most obnoxious and unsatisfying issues for men, I can assure you continues late into adulthood is that women believe he can only have one orgasm. So he's only allowed to have one when there's 10 more pent up in there. The woman is conditioned to believe the prior statement to, even if you do discuss and agree beforehand, she loses steam.
As you might imagine, education for both partners at any stage of life makes for a more fulfilling experience and deeper relational connection.

Using a male username doesn't hide the fact that you're a woman. Really, every part of your post reads like it was written by a woman. Why would a man care if other men are ignorant of female anatomy? Everyone is responsible for their own education or lack there of. If a guy can't be arsed to learn female anatomy that is his business.
Anyway, everyone is taught about human anatomy in sex ed. The problem is no one really pays attention in that class. You're not going to fix a problem of not giving a sh*it by more education on the topic.
@Lauren: Why do you change your sexual orientation from answer to answer?

Yeah I think you're right. I guess the only thing is that I guess many women are ignorant about their own anatomy and part of it is due to our culture shaming women's bodies.
There was literally a whole scene in Orange is the New Black about the women arguing how many "holes" they have. If this is the experience of some women over their own bodies, then it's slightly more understandable men are just as ignorant. But really... as a lesbian... I am not going into this thing w out homework and I don't know how anyone else would in this day and age would think it's a good idea not to either. So I think yeah I don't sympathize w the men so much on this. I mostly feel bad for their girlfriends.
Also can I say anatomy isn't that difficult?! It's like you all have jobs, pay taxes, and do your dumba@@ sudokus you can comprehend what they currently teach in 7th grade in a decent school system.
