Were the questions in YA: Astronomy & Space on a higher technical level, once upon a time?

    Used to be, yes. But I think it is fair to say that the questions on YA in this section have basically followed the downward spiral of the public perceptions of astronomy and space.

    Most people who asked higher technical questions couldn’t understand the answers so in the end it really doesn’t matter. You can’t answer a question on general relativity and expect someone who has no math background to understand the answer.

    No, not necessarily. Over not quite 12 years I've probably answered "Why is the sky blue?" About 100 times. I HAVE noticed in the last week there seem to be fewer silly questions.
