At 17 you aren't going to do anything you mentioned, be a EMT or try to enlist in some foreign Legion.

To answer THAT question, you would have to go to Aubagne, France, just outside of Marseilles. As for being a certified EMT, that certification would at the very minimum have to be transferred to France, and you would have to pass a competency test in the French language, a bare minimum requirement for ALL skilled positions in the Legion.

You are not old enough to train as an EMT and an EMT would know that is irrelevant.
Why do others ASSUME the French Foreign Legion. That isn't the only foreign legion.

Do you think the French care about a cerification issued by a US state that followed a training plan issued by the US DOT?

ALL of the French Foreign Legion start out as combat troops. So you would have to do all the stuff related to that. Plus learn French. After that they would discuss you being a combat medic, assuming they have them. It might be like the US Marines where they do not have their own medics, they use Navy medics. Perhaps they use medics from the Regular French Army. You would have to ask.
