I do not watch horror movies on Halloween. 

for the last 20 years or so,    I was the one who hosted the local  Halloween Party..........(the crazy American, in a small mountain top Italian village.....) 

and before I moved here, they did not celebrate Halloween  , at ALL- 

I said the hell with that.........and tried for years to get the fun off the ground for my   small son ,  and eventually worked it up to a nice  party for the neighborhood kids, and a little circuit for the kids to do, with houses that I got to cooperate.  If got to the point,  others heard about it, and came here to trick or treat.......as we were some of the only ones actually doing it. 

Word soon spread......and it grew a little every year, with more people wanting to join in the fun............until it got to the point, that people broke off into their own groups and other houses starting throwing their own (rival-competitive) parties.......and my house couldn't handle the *entire* crowd anymore , anyway........so that was good, actually........ so my son got to have  "Trick or Treating"  at least, while growing up........and then cool parties with his friends, as he got older. 

Now it has a life of it's own........and we don't throw the party anymore.......but we're still the best decorated house, by far,  and everyone knows to come *Here*  to  get the best bag of candy. !

Unfortunately,  now that I got everyone trained.......with COVID this year.........not sure how it will go, or if anyone at all will come.
