Many of my answers are being deleted from the answer page but is in my answer file.  Why is that?

Occasionally removed posts appear to still be listed in your YA activity. It's a glitch in the database that typically is eventually corrected.

It's a Glitch your Answer is Deleted But its not being Reflected on your Answer Profile 

There appears to be a glitch, it will disappear from the category but it takes a while for it to disappear from your own answering history.
